Kerala Essence

Day 1: Welcome to Cochin – Gateway to the Arabian Sea

Upon your arrival at Cochin International Airport, our representative will warmly receive you and assist with your hotel transfer. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing or exploring at your own pace. Overnight stay in Cochin.

Day 2: Cultural Discovery in Cochin

After breakfast, set off on a guided exploration of Cochin, famously dubbed the ‘Queen of the Arabian Sea’. Visit historic landmarks such as the 16th-century Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis Church (India’s oldest European church), and admire the iconic Chinese Fishing Nets along Fort Cochin beach. Return to your hotel for the night.

Day 3: Journey to the Hills of Munnar

Post breakfast, check out and enjoy a scenic drive to Munnar (approx. 140 km / 4 hrs). On arrival, check in at your hotel and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by misty hills and tea gardens. Overnight stay in Munnar.

Day 4: Explore the Enchanting Munnar Landscape

Today’s sightseeing includes visits to Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake, and Echo Point. In the afternoon, head to Rajamalai, home to the rare Nilgiri Tahr at Eravikulam National Park. Enjoy the crisp mountain air and panoramic views before returning for the night.

Day 5: Into the Wild – Thekkady Adventure

After an early breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady (approx. 110 km / 3 hrs). After check-in, visit the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary – a rich ecological reserve famed for its forests and wildlife. Optional activities like boat rides, spice plantation walks, and trekking are available at extra cost. Overnight at Thekkady.

Day 6: Kumarakom’s Backwater Bliss

After breakfast, continue your journey to Kumarakom (approx. 170 km / 5 hrs). Check in to your hotel and explore this backwater haven known for its tranquil lagoons, coconut groves, and bird sanctuaries. Enjoy a serene boat ride and immerse yourself in village life. Overnight in Kumarakom.

Day 7: Houseboat Stay in Alleppey – Venice of the East

Post breakfast, travel to Alleppey (approx. 45 km / 1.5 hrs) and board your traditional houseboat. Drift through the scenic Vembanad Lake, past rice fields, canals, and coir-making villages. Experience a full day of cruising and local cuisine served on board. Overnight stay on the houseboat.

Day 8: Beachside Escape to Kovalam

Enjoy breakfast onboard and disembark the houseboat before heading to the sunny shores of Kovalam. Check in at your beachside resort. Spend the evening relaxing by the sea or indulging in beach activities like kayaking and surfing. Overnight stay in Kovalam.

Day 9: Sights of Trivandrum – Kerala’s Capital City

After breakfast, set out on a sightseeing tour of Trivandrum. Highlights include the majestic Padmanabhaswami Temple, Napier Museum, Sree Chitra Art Gallery, and the city zoo. Return to Kovalam in the evening for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure from Trivandrum

Following breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to Trivandrum Airport (approx. 15 km) for your onward journey with cherished memories of Kerala’s charm and diversity.
